I'mmmm BACK..... I had a disk failure on the primary computer on my network and have been down for a few days. I installed a new drive and have rescued all my web site data and class reunion info. It was luck that I had emailed my Outlook Express address book to Israel a couple of weeks ago and I was able to save all of your email addresses out of that. I will get back to putting up new pics on the "Then and Now" Pages. A Class reunion planning meeting was held February 8th, 2007 at the Carlsbad Public Library Annex. The meeting began at 7:00 pm, those present were, Kathy (Bradford) Gossett - Debbie (White) Workman - Melba (Magby) Phillips - Nona (Robbins) Johnston - Mike Veilleux - Israel Palma - Lanny Barnett and coming all the way from Farmington, NM again was John Phillips. Several proposals from catering business were read and discussion was had by all about the food for the reunion. There were still 3 or 4 catering services who are preparing proposals for sub-mission. All the current bids require notification by June 1 of total number of people attending. Plans were made to print mailing labels (384) and have them available Monday morning February 12th. Israel will deliver the labels along with the registration forms to Kathy (Bradford) Gossett who has volunteered her Class at Carlsbad Senior High to label, fold and otherwise prepare the registration forms for mailing. The mailing addresses contained within my data base were current as of July 1997, some were updated by the committee and others. Hopefully most mail outs will reach classmates or someone who know their whereabouts. Registration forms were sent out via Email Monday morning to all classmates who have signed the guest book or sent in current email addresses. The response to the Web Site and Guest book has been more than I could have ever hoped for, I believe electronic media is the way to spread the news of our 40th reunion and make it a great success like the previous reunions have been. A BIG thanks to all of you for the photos you have sent and all the great input about the Web site.......Keep it up!!!! March 8, 2007 Class Reunion meeting. The Reunion meeting was at the Library Annex, those present were Israel Palma, Nona Robbins Johnston, Melba Magby Phillips, Debbie White Workman, Lanny Barnett and the Mystery Lady Items discussed were: Out of 384 invitations sent via the Postal Service we have only got back 6 that were un-deliverable. Another proposal for catering was presented and discussed. Types of main dish foods were selected in hopes of final selection of a caterer for the Reunion. A letter and registration from Ernie Rodgers was read, Ernie will not be able to attend the reunion, but he wanted us to think about starting a scholarship fund in the name of "The Class of 1967" This would go to a Carlsbad High School Senior. A $100 check accompanied the letter. Discussion about how few classmates had sent in registration forms and payments lead to us agreeing we should send out another email soon appealing to all classmates to send in their registration and money soon. It was agreed the Reunion Committee should begin meeting every 2 weeks so we can stay on top of things. We will meet again March 22nd, 7:00 PM at Debbie (White) Workman's house, 1006 Alameda. "Thank you Debbie" and A big "THANK YOU" to Ernie Rodgers for his generosity
