Hey Lanny.

The young girl in pic between Jo Stringer's gkids and Ernie Rodgers on Page 7 is Cindy White (Ithink her married name is Martin).  She lives near Albuquerque and has signed the guestbook just recently.  She was in the carpool with some of us west Carslbad girls.  Sometimes her Mom, Rita, would let her drive the Thunderbird to school.  On Fridays!!  Needless to say, riding around after school was fun on those days!

Love to All, Ginger Parks Daugherty      (what a smarty pants, must take a west Carlsbad Girl to know another)

I had a surprise visit from a classmate this afternoon at the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center.  We had a very enjoyable couple of hours  "cussin" and "discussin" lots of folks.   Pictured below, 1967 Carlsbad Senior High School graduate Ernie Rodgers and his lovely wife Diane.

Ernie has retired after 30 + years as a Art Teacher with the Truth or Consequences, New Mexico Schools.  As Ernie and I walked to his car our conversation turned to more serious discussion.  Ernie handed me a February 28, 2007 copy of the Truth or Consequences newspaper, with the headlines I have posted below.  Ernie taught  "Jim Tooley" in High School and  told me this young man had called him during college asking for advice about his career.  The newspaper article states   Tooley  worked for Disney MGM studios then on to work for the George Lucas founded "Industrial Light & Magic" company.  On Sunday night Feb 25th Tooley and his "ILM"colleauges won a OSCAR for Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Motion Picture based on the character Davey Jones  in "Dead Man's Chest" the latest movie in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" Movies.

Before Ernie drove away I asked him if I could keep the newspaper and write a few words for the web site.    Teaching is a honorable profession and teachers may never know what effect they have on our lives, here is just another example of those "effects".   Thanks Ernie.

I've been negligent putting up photos of all the band members and their wives.  Here is a  July 1997 photo of  "David Huggins" and his wonderful wife "EJ" during our 30th year Class Reunion..

Here is a picture of all my family at my youngest son's wedding in December 2006. The girl in the stripes, groom and fella in the blue shirt are the children of Gary Alexander, graduated in 1960 and is deceased. I believe he still holds and Caveman record for most touchdown passes caught in a single game (5).

Thanks,

Brenda Alexander (Wynn) 1967
