Vicki sent the photo below this evening. The young lady in this photo is Vicki's Daughter Michelle (Morran) King, and Vicki's grand-daughters Margot (2) and Gabrielle (6). Michelle is the Daughter of the late Mike Morran a Classmate of ours and also a great friend of mine. To hear Michelle talk and to see her in person is to see Mike Morran again.

Jerry Speights, a-top the Bon Fire Pile. up on C-Hill. If you notice there are some pieces of buildings on the wood pile for the Home Coming Bon Fire pile. Seems as though we were getting pretty desperate for wood to burn at the Bon Fire. Some of us (Huggins was among US). Well were driving around Happy Valley looking for every spare board we could find. Someone says "hey look at that barn over there" yeah what about it. It was on a vacant lot near My house and Huggins house, David and I said "well we haven't seen Cotton Canion (owner of the building) use it lately. So sure enough we went and tore the building down and right away hauled it up to C-Hill for the Bon Fire. The next morning when 'ole Cotton' gets up to go to work at the mines "low and behold" his building is missing. I think after my ole man and David's Dad kicked our butts they smoothed it over with Cotton Canion even though his building had gone up in smoke, but after all what was more important the Bon Fire or that stupid building?
